This is going to sound really stupid. But never mind that, I'll cut directly to the part that you don't know.

• Swanson came out with TV dinners in 1953 and hasn't looked back since. The frozen dinners recently celebated a 50th anniversary in 2003.


• Gloria Swanson's career essentially ended in 1952 with Three for Bedroom C. It was her last big American role (barring a brief comeback for Airport 1975).
